How To Draw A Cartoon Mouth

How To Draw A Cartoon Mouth. Our mouth is an essential feature of our face for many reasons. We use them for drinking food and water, talking, and smiling at others. They can certainly be quite tricky to draw for such an important feature! Amateur and experienced artists have struggled to learn how to draw a cartoon mouth. If you’ve been having trouble with this, you’ve come to the right place!

This tutorial is the right place if you want to know how it’s done. This step-by-step guide to drawing a cartoon mouth in just 6 easy steps will show you how easy it can be when you know what to do! You can draw many more characters like bow and arrow drawing, Anubis drawing, cat drawing, cobra drawing, blueberry drawing, coconut drawing and many more drawing for kids.

Step 1:

The cartoon mouth design we’ll create in this guide will be turned sideways, and the mouth will be in a fun, expressive pose! We will keep things simple in this first step of the guide, which means we will draw the top line of the lip contour. The line will start thin and a little wavy on the left, then turn into two rounded, wavy lines near the right edge. Once this top diagram is finished, we can move on to the second step of the guide!

Step 2:

If you refer to later images in this guide on drawing a cartoon mouth, you will notice that the two lips are separate connected parts. With that in mind, we’ll draw the rest of the upper lip outline as its part. Fortunately, this should be an easy task to accomplish! You must draw a curved line at the base of the line you drew in the previous step. This curved line will be smooth and direct and connect the top outline’s two sides. The reference image will show you how it should look; then, we can move on!

Step 3:

We will leave the upper lip while working on the mouth’s lower part. The mouth will open a bit in a smile, and we’ll use more rounded curved lines coming down from the upper lip. This is a part of the guide where you might want to refer closely to the reference image as you draw, as these lines are pretty specific in shape. Once you’ve drawn these outlines, you can remove the bottom lip using another curved line, and then we can continue adding details in step 4.

Step 4:

You have completed the lip outlines for your cartoon mouth design, and now we will add some internal elements. Specifically, we will draw the patterns for the two rows of teeth and the tongue. Next, we will add some simple curved lines between the rows of teeth for the tongue. The teeth may look like two solid rows, but we’ll add details for the separate segments as we get to the final pieces in the next step.

Step 5:

Before adding some colors in the last step of this guide on drawing a cartoon mouth, we have a few more details to add. These points will mostly go to the rows of teeth inside the mug. You can use easy steep lines across the teeth to indicate where they are spaced. Once you’ve pulled the teeth, as seen in the contact image, you’re prepared for this last stage!

Before restarting, your energy as well count a few better pieces! Some ideas would be to draw the lips in different positions, or you could be ambitious and draw a bit more of the surrounding face. It’s up to you now, so how will you finish this fantastic drawing?

Step 6:

It’s time to finish this drawing with great colors! You can use colors similar to ours if you like the look, but you can choose from many other colors even if you want a lipstick look!

Alternatively, you can also opt for more muted tones for a natural look in the image. Different artistic tools and media would suit other preferences. For example, watercolors would be perfect for a natural look, while some brightly colored pens would be perfect for glossy lipstick. What paints and mediums will you pick for this photo?
